Coordinate Geometry is a core part of A-Level Maths. Revise the key concepts and common mistakes below, then lock them in with the free games.

Key concepts

Angle rulesAngles on a line, around a point, in triangles and parallel lines.
PolygonsInterior and exterior angles of polygons.
Circle theoremsAngle and chord properties of circles.
TransformationsTranslation, reflection, rotation and enlargement.
Congruence & similarityIdentical shapes versus same shape, different size.
ConstructionsAccurate drawings using compasses and a ruler.

Common mistakes to avoid

Questions where students often pick the tempting wrong answer — make sure you know the right one:

What happens to angles when you enlarge a shape?✗ They get bigger with the shape.   ✓ They stay the same — only side lengths change.
Do shapes with the same perimeter have the same area?✗ Yes, perimeter fixes the area.   ✓ No — equal perimeters can give very different areas.
