If your child uses AI for schoolwork, what matters is how. Copying an answer teaches nothing. Being questioned, marked and set new problems is real revision. The Velvet Method teaches the second kind, one step at a time, so your child always knows what to do next.

What does it cost?
Nothing. The method, the step videos and the prompt library are free, and they work with the free versions of ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.
What if my child has barely used AI before?
That is fine. Each step has a one-minute video and a ready-made prompt to copy, so no experience is needed to start.
Will it work for my child's subjects and exam board?
Yes. The Velvet Method is a way of studying, not a set of notes. Your child names their subject, level and exam board in the prompt. AI does make mistakes, so its answers should be checked against the specification and mark schemes.
Does this replace a private tutor?
No. It does a different job. A good tutor gives your child expert teaching and feedback from a person. The Velvet Method is for revising independently with AI between lessons, or when a tutor isn't an option.
Doesn't using AI just encourage cheating?
The Velvet Method works the other way round. Every step asks AI to question, mark or set problems, not to write answers, so the work and the thinking stay with your child. Read our full guide for parents →
