How do hormonal responses compare with nervous responses?✗ Hormones act instantly, exactly like nerves.   ✓ Hormonal responses are usually slower and longer-lasting.
How does water enter root hair cells?✗ By active transport using energy.   ✓ By osmosis — passively, down a water potential gradient.
