The role of business activity
Businesses combine resources to provide goods and services, meeting needs and wants and adding value. Enterprise is driven by entrepreneurs who take risks.
Factors of production: land, labour, capital, enterprise.
Ownership: sole trader & partnership (unlimited liability) vs private limited company (limited liability).
Aims & objectives: survival, profit, growth, market share, social aims.
